Xiamen Daily News (Reporter Lin Luhong) The two-day '2018 ABB Power and Automation World' opened yesterday at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center. As ABB Group's largest and highest-level annual event in the Asia, Middle East, and Africa region, this activity includes an opening forum, 5 industry forums, 112 technical lectures, and a 6,800 square meter exhibition, comprehensively showcasing ABB's most advanced technological achievements.

At the exhibition site, a robot barista precisely completes the entire process from taking a coffee cup, frothing milk to preparing a latte, its movements as smooth as flowing water. It is understood that this barista is a member of the ABB YuMi robot family. As ABB's world's first truly collaborative dual-arm robot, YuMi has flexible, intelligent hands capable of almost all movements of a human hand.

In addition to YuMi, multiple ABB industrial robots also gathered to showcase their skills, performing a 'Robot Rally' live on site. These robots possess advantages in flexibility and digitization, enabling them to adapt to the production characteristics of modern enterprises with diverse and personalized products. ABB Group President and CEO Ulrich Spiesshofer stated that ABB hopes to enable more industries and small and medium-sized enterprises with immature automation to benefit from industrial automation through high-performance products, improving production efficiency and assisting in the transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industry.
